eConsult online consultations are accepted Monday to Friday, 7am – 4pm but will close earlier if the number of appointment requests exceeds what can safely be provided by the practice.

In these situations, if you require urgent / on the date care you will be signposted to the most appropriate service to meet your needs.

If you believe you need on the day care we encourage you to contact us via eConsult as early in the day as possible.

What is the Fareham & Portchester PCN?

The Fareham & Portchester PCN is a network of four local practices who are working together to share resources, skills & experience to provide cost-effect, patient-centered health care for all patients in the Fareham and Portchester area.

Because of the PCN we can offer Enhanced Access Appointments. This enables us to provide additional appointment capacity across the four practices (called “Enhanced Access”), including GP, ANP, Practice Nurse, Musculoskeletal (known as First Contact Practitioners), Social Prescribers, Paramedics, Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, and Mental Health & Wellbeing.

These are both telephone and face to face appointments that will be available on the weekend. Face to face appointments will be at Westlands Medical Centre.

Clinicians consulting with our patients will have read-write access to the patient record, and are able to make referrals and prescribe in the same way clinicians at the practice do.

Out of Hours and Emergencies

111 is the NHS non-emergency number. It’s fast, easy and free. Call 111 and speak to a highly trained adviser, supported by healthcare professionals. They will ask you a series of questions to assess your symptoms and immediately direct you to the best medical care for you.

NHS 111 is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Calls are free from landlines and mobile phones.
