Travel Health

The Portchester Practice no longer offers a full travel service.  We will, when possible, continue to offer those vaccines that are available on the NHS.  You must notify the practice at least 5 – 6 weeks in advance of your planned travel date.  Failure to do so may result in you having to pay for these vaccines with a local travel clinic.

You will be asked to complete a travel form.  This will be reviewed by the practice nurse; you will be contacted to make an appointment for the necessary vaccinations.

You will still need to contact a travel clinic to be given the correct travel advice and to receive those travel vaccinations that are not available on the NHS.  We would ask that you do this before booking an appointment with the practice.  If possible, please bring your printed advice paperwork with you.
